Rectangular polyomino set weak (1, 2)-achievement games

چکیده
In a polyomino set (1,2)-achievement game the maker and the breaker alternately mark one and two previously unmarked cells respectively. The maker's goal is to mark a set of cells congruent to one of a given set of polyominoes. The breaker tries to prevent the maker from achieving his goal. The teams of polyominoes for which the maker has a winning strategy is determined up to size 4. In set achievement games, it is natural to study in nitely large polyominoes. This enables the construction of super winners that characterize all winning teams up to a certain size.

Polyominoes with minimum site-perimeter and full set achievement games
The site-perimeter of a polyomino is the number of empty cells connected to the polyomino by an edge. A formula for the minimum site-perimeter with a given cell size is found. This formula is used to show the effectiveness of a simple random strategy in polyomino set achievement games.
متن کاملWinning Strategies for Hexagonal Polyomino Achievement
In polyomino achievement games, two players alternately mark the cells of a tessellation and try to achieve a given polyomino. In [2], Bode and Harborth investigated polyomino achievement games for the hexagonal tessellation and determined all but five polyominoes with at most five cells whether they are achieved by the first player. In this paper, we show winning strategies for three hexagonal...
متن کاملSnaky Is a 41-dimensional Winner
Every polyomino is a winner in the weak achievement game on a rectangular infinite board with large enough dimension. In particular, Snaky is a winner on the 41-dimensional board. An infinite polyomino is a winner on an infinite dimensional board but a loser on a finite dimensional board.

A permutomino of size n is a polyomino determined by particular pairs (π1, π2) of permutations of size n, such that π1(i) 6= π2(i), for 1 ≤ i ≤ n. Here we determine the combinatorial properties and, in particular, the characterization for the permutations defining convex permutominoes. Using such a characterization, these permutations can be uniquely represented in terms of the so called square...
متن کاملCombinatorial aspects of L-convex polyominoes
We consider the class of L-convex polyominoes, i.e. those polyominoes in which any two cells can be connected with an “L” shaped path in one of its four cyclic orientations. The paper proves bijectively that the number fn of L-convex polyominoes with perimeter 2(n + 2) satisfies the linear recurrence relation fn+2 = 4 fn+1 − 2 fn , by first establishing a recurrence of the same form for the car...
